We respect your privacy and only collect the information we need to write your song and run our service. This page explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have over your data.

1. Who we are

Melody Lane is a service operated by Korsica Brands LLC, doing business as Melody Lane ("Korsica Brands," "Melody Lane," "we," "us," or "our"). We operate the giftmelodylane.com website and service. You can contact us at hello@giftmelodylane.com for any privacy questions or requests.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to deliver your song:

Account info: the email address you provide at checkout (used to send your receipt, your song, and to log you into your dashboard via magic link).
Song details:the recipient's first name, the relationship type (partner, parent, friend, etc.), genre, voice, and the story you share with us. This is the input our AI uses to write the song.
Payment info: Card details are entered on Stripe's secure checkout — we never see or store your full card number. We only receive a Stripe customer ID, the last 4 digits, the brand, and the amount of the charge.
Usage / technical data: approximate location (from IP), browser, device type, and the pages you view. Used for security and product improvements.
Cookies:only essential cookies for authentication and checkout. We don't set advertising cookies.

3. How we use your information

To generate, deliver, and host your custom song.
To process payments and prevent fraud.
To send transactional emails (your receipt and your song delivery). We do not send marketing emails unless you separately opt in.
To respond to support requests.
To comply with legal obligations.

4. Third-party processors

We use a small number of trusted vendors to operate the service. Each one only receives the minimum data needed for its function:

Stripe — payment processing.
Supabase — user authentication, database, song-file storage.
Kie.ai (Suno) — AI song generation. Your story content is sent to this service to produce the song.
Resend — transactional email delivery.
Railway — hosting infrastructure.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, ever.

5. Data retention

We keep your account and song data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to support legal, tax, and dispute-resolution obligations (typically up to seven years for financial records). You may request deletion of your account at any time by emailing us — we'll honor the request within 30 days, except for records we are legally required to retain.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate information.
Delete your information (subject to legal exceptions).
Opt out of any future marketing emails (if you ever opted in).
California residents (CCPA/CPRA):request disclosure of categories collected, opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of your information (we don't do either), and exercise non-discrimination rights.

7. Children

The service is not intended for, and we do not knowingly collect data from, anyone under 16. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. International users

The service is operated from the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., which may have different data-protection laws than your country. By using the service, you consent to that transfer.

9. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards (encryption in transit, access controls, encrypted at rest where supported by our processors). No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security of any data transmitted to us.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be notified to active customers by email.
